Historical Society of Perry County

About Us

Founded in 1923, the society’s mission is to manage, conserve and promote the history of Perry County, Pennsylvania. We are a designated 501c3 non-profit corporation. We frequently offer public programs and volunteer opportunities at our historic properties. The Society holds numerous records, books, artifacts and memorabilia dealing with all facets of Perry County history as well as conducts programs to raise funds for the ongoing and continual preservation and maintenance of our eight historic properties. The Society preserves and maintains eight unique properties, each one with its own fascinating story. With the help of our many members and volunteers, we are able to welcome the public to learn about these historic properties and the people who once lived, worshipped, learned, or worked there.
